    Since flipping a coin and rolling a 6-sided die are independent events, thus the probability of getting head and an even number is just the product of the individual probability of events.

    Let A be the event of getting a head, and B be the event of getting an even number on die.

    therefore, P (A and B) = P (A) P (B) = (1/2) * (3/6) = 1/4=0.25
