Angie has 12 feet of string. She will cut the string into equal legths of 5 inches each. How much string will be left after she cuts as many of these lengths as possible?

    4inches of string will be left.

    Why:

    You have to multiple 12 feet by 12 inches to get a common measurement. You then get 144inches. You can divide 144 by 5, 28 times evenly, with 4 inches of string left over.
