    P^2-8p+7p-56

First I foiled. This meaning that I multiplied the first numbers in each pair of parentheses, then I multiplied the outside numbers, then the inside numbers and finally the last numbers.

    p^2-p-56

    Second I combined like factors.

This should be your final answer, keep in mind that ^2 means squared.

    p^2-p-56
