    Rate = 91 km/hr

    Step-by-step explanation:

    In this question, Rate = Speed

    Speed (s) = Distance (d) / time (t)

    Distance = 600 km

    Time = 3 hrs for both cars

    Speed for car A = x

    Speed for car B = (18+x)

    Distance traveled for car A = x * 3

    Distance traveled for car B = (18+x) * 3

    Remember that the total distance traveled = 600 km

    3x + 3 * (18+x) = 600

    3x + 54 + 3x = 600

    6x = 600 - 54 = 546

    x = 546/6 = 91

    Speed of the slower car is 91 km/hr.
