There are 28 rabbits and 44 chickens. Divide 200/2 (the number of feet a chicken has) to get 100 then subtract the number of heads 72 to get the number of leftover groups of 2 feet 28. There must be 28 rabbits so subtract the number of rabbits from the total number of heads (72) to get 44 chickens. To check your answer, multiply 44x 2 equals 88. 4x 28 equals 112. 88 plus 112 equals 200 legs and 28 plus 44 eqyaks 72 heads.
