    I will assume that is g = (a+b) / ca

    get rid of fractions by cross multiplying

    g/1 = (a+b) / ca

    ca•g = 1• (a+b)

    acg = a+b

    Isolate varables with "a"

    acg-a=b

    a (cg-1) = b

    a = b / (cg-1)
