    Betty produced 613 gallons while Georgette produced 851 gallons

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let Betty be X and Georgette be Y

    The first equation

    Y = 2x-375

    Second equation

    X+Y = 1464

    This is simultaneous equation.

    We are using substitution method

    From equation 1 the value of Y = 2x-375

    Substitute for the value of y in equation 2

    X+Y = 1464

    X + 2X - 375 = 1464

    Collect like terms

    3x=1464+375

    3x = 1839

    X = 613

    To get the value of Y

    Substitute for Y in equation 1

    Y = 2x - 375

    Y = 2 (613) - 375

    Y = 1226 - 375

    Y = 851

    Since X = Betty and Y = Georgette

    Betty produced 613 gallons while Georgette produced 851 gallons
