    Hello;

    x is the length, y the width:

    x = 4y ... (1)

    xy = 144 ... (2)

    subsct in (2) : 4y (y) = 144

    y² = 36

    y = 6 yd so : x = 24 yd

    the perimeter is : 2 (6+24) = 60 yd
