How to convert a fraction into a mixed number in lowest terms?

    Ask your self how many times can the top number fit in to the bottom

    Well at first you take the numerator (the top number) and divide it by the denominator (the lower number) that'll give you the whole number. then you would reduce only the fraction. for example lets say that we have 4/8 We know that at the very least since they are both even numbers we can divide by so so if we do that we have 2/4 oh look, even numbers again and divide both sides by two again and you get 1/2.
