A pattern starts with 1. The second number is a 9. The third is a 17. Fourth is a 25 and fifth is 33. If you double the 15th number in the pattern, will the result be even or odd

    Common difference is 8

    an = a1 + d (n-1)

    a15 = 1 + 8 (15-1)

    a15 = 1 + 8*14

    a15 = 1 + 112

    a15 = 113

    double it 226
