Why is it advantageous to take market trends into consideration when planning a career path?

For the answer to the question above asking w hy is it advantageous to take market trends into consideration when planning a career path?

I really don't know if it is a real advantage because most of the people who take career based on what's trending in the market now suffer from unemployment and stress, anxiety and depression because the career they took is like fashion. It wears out and sometimes they don't really love what they are doing

But I think it is better to have a plan and it's good that you have something to look to in the future than to have no plan at all. It will give you a direction on financial matters. But it is still important to love what you do and choose the career that you will love and a career on where your passion and heart is.
