What is the base of lnx^4?

    The base of the "ln x" function is "e."

    Thus, ln (x^4) is the same as (log to the base e of) (x^4).

    Just in case you're interested, ln (x^4) = 4 ln x. This is true because the log and exponential functions are inverses of one another.
