Jordan places two boards end to end to make one shelf. The first one is 47/100 meter long. The second board is 5/10 meter long. What is the total length, in meters, of the two boards

    The total length of the two boards will be given by:

    Total = (length of board A) + (length of board B)

    =47/100+5/10

    making the fractions have the same denominator we multiply the numerator and denominator of the second fraction by 10, this will giv us the expression of:

    47/100+50/100

    =97/100 m
