To compare let's use Algebra to see how much one ounce costs for each package:

    1. 16 ounces = $.79

    1 ounce $x

    $x = 0.049

    2. 32 ounces = $3.49

    1 ounce $x

    $x = 0.109

Therefore, comparing #1 and #2, the first package is the better deal.
