James drove up 6,400 feet to a camp area on a mountain to meet his friends. They walked a trail that led to the mountain summit which was 1,800 feet above the camp area. They then returned to the camp area to rest before hiking on a trail that led to the mountain overlook which was 3,300 feet below the camp area. Use absolute value to determine the distance between the elevations of the summit and overlook.

    The answer is 4900 because you add the 6,400+1,800=8,200 then you subtract the 8,200-3,300 = 4,900
