A slug travels 3 centimetres in 3 seconds. A snail travels 6 centimetres in 6 seconds. Mai says, "The snail is traveling faster because it went a greater distance". do you agree with Mai explain or show your reasoning

    I do not agree with Mai.

    Although the snail traveled farther, it traveled 1 centimeter in 1 second; just as the slug traveled 1 centimeter in 1 second. Therefore, they traveled at the same rate per second.
