A triangle has sides of lengths 6, 8, and 10. Is it a right triangle? Explain.

    To answer this problem whether the triangle is a right triangle or not, we use the Pythagorean theorem which states that the square of the hypotenuse or the longest side is equal to the sum of the squares of the legs. Hence 10^2 should be equal to 6^2 + 8^2. This is true, hence the triangle is a right triangle
