The jones family is landscaping their yard. Their yard is 160 square feet and one side is 10 feet long. What is the length of the other side of the yard? If they plant 3 bushes that need to be 3 feet apart and 3 feet away from the fence around the yard will they have the space?

    The equation for area is A=l*w

    160=10*x (divide out the 10)

    x=16

    Yes they will. Three bushes will need 12ft. and the longer side is 16ft.
