Assuming there are 12 eggs in each carton, multiply the number of eggs by the number of cartons.

    12 * 6 = 72.

    Then, divide.

    72 : (2/3) = 48.

There are 18 brown eggs for sale.

If there are 12 eggs in each carton then 12*6=72. Then you have to divide 72:2/3 which equals 48
