Max is reading a book. He has already read 1/4 of the book. If he stopped at the top of page 67, how many pages are there in the book?

    268 pages, 67*4 = 268

    Let p represent # of pages in the book.

    Then (1/4) p = 67. Solve for p by mult. both sides of this equation by 4:

    p = 268 (pages)
