Draw a rectangle, shade in 40%, that's roses, the other 60% are daisies.

2/5 of the garden is 8 roses, 1/5 of the garden is 4 flowers, 3/5 is 12 flowers, so if 2/5 is 8 roses, 3/5 is 12 daisies.

    8+12=20

There are 20 flowers in total.
