a plane can fly 480 miles in the same as it takes a car to go 150 miles. if a car travels 110 mph slower than a plane find the speed of the plane

    480 / (y + 110) = 150 / y

    480y = 150 y + 16500

    330y = 16500

    y = 50

    The speed of the plane

    = 50 + 110

    = 160 mph
