If x = 3 and y = 5, what is 3x - 2y?

    X = 3, y = 5

    3x - 2y

    3 (3) - 2 (5)

    9 - 10

    Negative 1 because 3 x 3 is 9 and - 2 x 5 is - 10. Therefore 9-10 = negative 1
