Mel wants to buy a pair of shoes that costs $120. She has saved $45 and has a job that pays her $10 per hour. The number of hours she has to work to have enough to buy the shoes is given by the inequality 10x + 45 > 120, where x is the number of hours she works.

    120-45=75

    10*8=80

    80+45=125

    so the answer would be 8
