    P = 2L + 2 W = 50 P=50

    W = L + 5 Plug into equation (substitution)

    2L + 2 L+5 = 50

    4L=50 - 5

    L = 45/4

    L=11.25

    P = 2 L + (2 L + 5) = 50

    P = 2 (11.25) + 2 (11.25) + 5 = 50

    P=22.5 + 27.5

    P=50 2L=22.5 and 2W = 27.5

    L=11.25 W = 13.75
