Four cards numbered 1, 5, 8, and 9 are placed in a bag. A card is drawn at random and then replaced. Then a card is drawn at random again. What is the probability that both cards drawn have the number 9.

    At first, the card with the 9 on it has 1/4 chance that it'll be drawn. A second time around, it'll be 1/8 of a probability that a 9 will be drawn because 1/4 + 1/4 = 1/8
