    Yes. 24 is a LCD of 3 and 8. So if you multiply 2/3 by 8 you'd get 16/24. If you multiply 5/8 by 3 you get 15/24. Therefore 2/3 > 5/8

    The LCD is 24

    2 * 8 16

    3 * 8 24

    5 * 3 15

    8 * 3 24

Because 16 over 24 is greater than 15 over 24

    2/3 is greater than 5/8
