    2 (x+7) ^2 = 64

    1 divide both sides by 2

    (x+7) ^2 = 32

    2 root both sides

    x+7 = 4 * sqrt2

    x = 4*sqrt2 - 7

    2 (x+7) ^2 = 64

    2 (x+7) = + 8/-8

    2 (x+7) = (+8) 2 (x+7) = (-8)

    x+7 = (+4) x+7 = (-4)

    x = (+4) - 7 x = (-4) - 7

    x = - 3 x = - 11
