Hannah bought a total of 5.12 pounds of fruit at the market. She bought 2.5 pounds of pears and she also bought some bananas. How many pounds of bananas did she buy

    To find unknown part of a whole when there are two parts, subtract the part you do know from the whole. Subtract the lbs of pears from the total lbs. 5.12 lbs total - 2.5 lbs of pears = 2.62 lbs of bananas. 2.62 lbs of bananas is your answer. (my name is actually Hannah so I couldn't resist answering.)
