The second plane climbs at an angle of 60 with respect to the ground and reaches an altitude of 8200 rounded feet. This means his angle is larger so therefore his distance is larger by 1/3 per 45 degree the formula for speed, s = d/t which means speed equals distance divided by time. if 45 is 1/2 then 60 is the new 1/3 size that covers a greater distance. As s=d/t.
