A group of 40 children attend the baseball game on a field trip. Each child received either a hotdog or a bag of popcorn. Hotdogs for $2.25 and popcorn was $1.75. Is the total bill was $83.50, how many hotdogs and bags of popcorn were purchased?

    27 hotdogs and 13 popcorns

    (2.25 x 27) + (1.75 x 13)

    60.75 + 22.75

    = 83.50
