Simplify the expression so there is only one positive power for the base - 5. - 5^7:-5^2

    The rule for diving exponents with the same base is

    "keep the base and subtract the powers"

    (-5) ^7 / (-5) ^2 = (-5) ^ (7-2) = (-5) ^5
