A weatherman predicts that there is a 58% chance of snow on Friday and 42% chance of snow on Saturday. What is the probability that it will not snow on both Friday and Saturday?

    Since there is a 42% chance it won't snow on Friday (100-58=42), and a 58% chance it won't snow the next day (100-42=58), we can get two different probabilities: 58% and 42%. Now, we simply have to multiply the probabilities to get the prediction for both days. 0.58*0.42=0.2436, so there is a 24.36% chance it won't snow either day.
