The lines shown below are parallel. If the green line has a slope of - 2, what is the slope of the red line?

    If the two lines are parallel, then they have the same slope. Parallel lines never intersect.

    If the two lines are parallel, they must have the same degree of steepness,

    therefore their slope is the same.

    If the green line has a slope of - 2, then the red line must have a slope of - 2 too.
