Ten seconds after a plane in an air-show dives, it is 200 feet from where it began. After 30 seconds, it is 600 feet from where it began. At what rate is the plane diving?

    20 feet per second, if it has been diving for a total of 40 seconds and lost 800 feet then assuming it is moving at a linear rate you divide the total amount of fps by the total distance. equation for speed is time/distance=speed.
