Julie is conducting a survey and asked 25 people to respond on a 1 to 15 scale to questions. A total of 19 people returned the survey and she calculates the results. She finds that for one particular question the mean was 11.2, the range was 11, and the median was 13. Three days later four more surveys were turned in and they responded to the same question with {10, 14, 15, 1}. To the nearest tenth, what is the new mean

    25*11.2 = 280 = total scales of 25 people

    New Total scales = 280 + {10, 14, 15, 1} = 320 scales

    New total number of people did the survey = 25 + 4=29

    New mean = New Total scales/New total number of people did the survey

    =320/29 = 11.0344 = 11.0
