A music store held a one-day sale and everything in the store was 33 percent off. Jennifer bought some music CDs. The prices before the discount were $9.99, $14.99, and $19.99. What was the total discount? Round the answer to the nearest cent.

    She paid $3.30 for the first one, $4.95 for the second one, and $6.60 for the last one.

    (All of the answers are rounded to the nearest hundreth.)

    To get those answers you would have have to turn 33% into a decimal. You would have to move the decimal 2 spaces back and you would end up with 0.33%. Then, you would multiply 0.33 with each of the prices. If you need to know how much she spent in all, she spent $14.85 in all.
