    (-4,2) ... x = - 4 and y = 2

    4x + 5y < - 7

    4 (-4) + 5 (2) < - 7

    -16 + 10 < - 7

    -6 < - 7 ... false ... because - 6 is not less then - 7 ... it is greater

    so no, (-4,2) is not a solution to this inequality

    No bc 4 (-4) + 5 (2) = -6 which is greater than - 7
