A bank vault is 14 feet long, 10 feet wide, and 9 feet tall. The bank's new decorator decides that square-looking vault is not very pretty, and she decides to knock out the wall adjoining the bathroom and make the 3-foot by 6-foot by 8-foot space of a bathroom stall part of the vault. Erect a statue of Ebenezer Scrooge in that space. What will be the total volume, in cubic feet, of the remodeled vault? Enter that number to escape. Do NOT include units in your answer.

    1404 ft^3

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Initial volume is

    14 ft x 10 ft x 9 ft = 1260 ft^3

    Additional volume is

    3 ft x 6 ft x 8 ft = 144 ft^3

    Total new volume will be

    1260 + 144 = 1404 ft^3
