Rico is making 4 batches of salsa. Each batch needs 2/3 cup of corn. He only has a 1/3 cup measure. How many times must Rico measure 1/3 cup of corn to have enough for all of the salsa?

    4*2=8 times. 1/3 is 1/2 of 2/3. So Rico must use the 1/3 measuring cup 2 times for each batch. You now multiply the number of batches (4) by the number of times you use the 1/3 measuring cup for each batch (2). 4*2=8 times Nico uses the 1/3 measuring cup.
