A swimming pool 35 ft. long and 20 ft. wide is filled to an average depth of 5 ft. How many gallons of water does the pool contain if a cubic foot holds 7 gallons?

    V = L * W * H

    V = 35 * 20 * 5

    V = 3500ft^3

    1 ft^3 = 7 gallons

    3500 ft^3/7 = 500 gallons
