    Given that raising chickens in urban areas is the fastest growing agricultural practice in cities. And the weight gain of chicks can be estimated with the function w (d) = 45+6d

    Where d is the number of days after hatching.

    We have to find in how many days will the weight of the chick equal or exceed 100 grams.

    So we just need to plug W=100 into given function and solve for d

    100=45+6d

    100-45=6d

    55=6d

    55/6=d

    d=9.167

    So answer will be approx 9.167 days or on 10th day.
