    27/3=9/3=3/3=1

    r=3

    a1 * (3) ^ (n-1)

    a1=1

    3^ (n-1)

    An=a1 (r) ^ (n-1)

    a1=first term

    an=nth term

    r=common ratio

    n=which term

    each term is 3 times the previous

    seems to be a geoemetric sequence

    common ratio is 3

    first term is 1

    so

    an=1 (3) ^ (n-1)

    the next term can be found by doing

    f (n+1) = 3f (n)
