Three times the lesser of the two consecutive even integers is six less than six times the greater number find the integers how would I set this up

    X = 1st integer x+2 = 2nd integer

    3x = 6 (x+2) - 6

    distribute to get 3x=6x+12-6

    12-6=6 so 3x=6x+6

    subtract 6 from both sides to get 3x-6=6x

    subtract 3x from both sides to get - 6=6x-3x

    subtract and get - 6=3x

    divide by three and x=-2 so x+2=0.
