Ken used a piece of lumber to build a bookshelf. If he made three shelves that are each 2 1/2 ft long, how long was the piece of lumber?

    The piece of lumber would be 7 1/2 ft because three shelves multiplyed by 2 1/2 ft long

    2 1/2 x 3 = 7 1/2
