    I believe the answer was B; he greater the optical density of the material, the lower the refractive index.

    Imagine if your window was fogged up, and someone tried shining a light through it, the light would be dull.

    But, that's my logic - I don't know if i'm 100% right on this

    The optical density of a medium is not the same as its physical density ... The more optically dense that a material is, the slower that a wave will move through the material ...
