    √12

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Pythagorean theorem: A^2+B^2=C^2

    2^2+B^2=4^2

    Since A+B=C

    C-A=B

    4^2-2^2=B^2

    16-4=12

Since this was to the power of two we have to find the square root. The square root turns out as a longer decimal so your answer is √12

Use this pythagoreom theorem which is a^2 + b^2 = c^2 so for this case it would be 2^2 + b^2 = 4^2 which is 4+b^2 = 16 then its b^2 = 12 because you minus 4 from each side, and your answer is the square root of 12
