How do you multiply, fractions and make sure my answer is correct

    You multiply the numerator or top of the fraction by the other numerator and then you multiply the denominator or the bottom of a fraction by the other denominator.

    The algebraic formula for multiplying fractions is a/b * c/d = ac / bd. For example: 2/6 * 1/4 = 2*1 / 6*4 = 2 / 24. Reducing this fraction we get 1/12.
