How do i simplify x^2*x^3*x^4

    Algebra 1 tells us that when multiplying like bases, we add exponents, so x^ (2+3+4) = x^9. This is easily seen by expanding the original to (x*x) (x*x*x) (x*x*x*x*) = x^9.

    In order to multiply numbers that are the same base raised to different powers,

    just keep the same base and add the powers. (I'll bet you knew that.)

    Example: 2³ times 2⁴ = 2⁷ z⁴ times z⁶ = z¹⁰

    (x^2) times (x^3) times (x^4) = x^ (2+3+4) = x^9
