What is - 2^2? I think it's 4, but when I use a calculator it gives me - 4.

    (-2) * (-2) = 4 because when we multiply (-) with (-), it'll be 4.

    It is 4 since a negative multiplied by a negative gives you a positive

    when you enter it into a calculator, put the - 2 in parentheses like this (-2) ^2

    this should give you 4
